palaver

Palaver \Pa*la"ver\, v. t. & i. [imp. & p. p. Palavered; p.
   pr. & vb. n. Palavering.]
   To make palaver with, or to; to used palaver; to talk idly or
   deceitfully; to employ flattery; to cajole; as, to palaver
   artfully.
